Book Two Released!
Woo-hoo! The Golden God of Aiolia is finally released! :D
You can find it right here on itch.io.
Unlike this one, however, I didn't add any interactivity to the original text. None of the battle scenes felt right for it, and the whole "see this scene or see that scene" thing was never a good idea in the first place, so I didn't even want to recreate it.
I put the novel into Ren'py this time, which makes it easier to keep your place if you have to stop in the middle of a scene. (It's still available to read online, my very first attempt at using Ren'py Web! But I'm not sure how to quit out of it without closing the browser tab...)
There's still about 30k words of glossary and other extras, but this time they're only made available as you read, split up between several categories, and I didn't waste time on silly entries on people and places that absolutely no one could be ignorant of. (Seriously, why did I put in a glossary entry for "Athens" in this one?)
I will probably also put this one into Ren'py later on (especially since there were a few more typos I missed last time, which have been fixed in the ebook version but not in the TWINE version), but for the moment I'm taking a break from all things dev, as The Golden God of Aiolia makes my fourth release in 60 days. (I do plan to get working on the rewrite of book three soon, though. I'm eager to get the whole series released...)
